There are two ways to use Tempo Anchors.

1. When the track tempo 'wavers' but shouldn't. This is great for mixing in tracks with a live drummer - especially those old Motown, Volt and Stax tracks you want to work with. ;) You can 'fix' these issues in Ableton, MixMeister and a couple other software packages to 'force' a constant volume.

2. When you're using a track that has a natural change in tempo. It's old - but example I give is Lil' Louis 'French Kiss' because the change is so drastic. In these cases Ableton won't be able to warp the track because you WANT the tempo change. What's cool is you can fire off a sample and let it change tempo with the track. You can also have the MIDI Beat Clock change with the track so your drum machine, light show, video, and everything else changes tempo right along with it!

Torq's tempo anchors aren't that difficult to work with and if you want to use some really interesting tracks and stretch your 'dj chops' so to speak - tempo anchors are a BIG step in the right direction to making that happen.
