Yes, its true! I've downloaded the last version and you can HIDE THE MIXER in EXTERNAL MODE. All you have to do is open the TORQ.PREFS file and change the following line

hideMixerView:0

to

hideMixerView:1

Voilá! The internal mixer disappear. It's not something that you can do changing preferences inside Torq. But is very possible to do changing the TORQ.PREFS file. Will try to post a snapshot.

I'm pretty sure that are some more tricks with this file. Don't have time to try now (going towork) but these lines can give some hints:

-- skipProtection:0
-- quickLoopMode:CUT AND GROW
-- effectMode:DEFAULT
-- beatDetectionBPMStyle:0
-- tapTempoOnWhileExternalControlOn:ON

and this line is in the TORQENGINE.PREFS

-- activeTimeCodeWheelCorrection:0

I would really like to hide the crossfader and PFL section while in external mode/control, too.

Peace

Keyword in SEARCH: torq.prefs if you look for it.

For XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Your Name\Application Data\M-Audio\Torq

For Vista: C:\Users\Your Name\AppData\Roaming\M-Audio\Torq

As an request I am asking for either Moderators RSJ or MusicMeister to move this post to the Torq Tips & Tricks Section and then delete this post I made.

Thanks.

Yes it will ask that.

When you see this:

Windows cannot open this file:

At the bottom go to (What do you want to do?)

Go to (Select a program from a list of installed programs)

Select (Notepad) and at the bottom remove the check mark from (Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.)

There you go.

Been playing tunes for a couple hours today and I decide to check in on the forum just now.

BOMBSKI.

Thanks M-Audio guys. My Saturday just got a little brighter.

Let's go tweakers. See what you can do with the new .prefs file.
